State appointed Wildlife Rehabilitators are volunteers. We do not receive any funding from the state. This means that in addition to the time and energy we spend helping wildlife, all expenses are out-of-pocket. From materials needed to build enclosures, species-specific formula for babies, food, bedding, cleaning supplies, veterinary care, medicines, and enrichment, the costs add up quick! As such, we rely on the generosity of others to help us help the animals that come into our care.
Here are some ways you can help:
volunteer to help build enclosures, fences, and other maintenance or upgrade needs
donate supplies that you are no longer using such as:
-dog crates, rat/ferret cages, travel carriers, rabbit hutches
-puppy pee pads
-fleece blankets, pet beds

With gratitude,
Kye
